The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab-cross combination lands for Oppelaar and sends James crashing to the mat! Oppelaar follows him down to the mat - James regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!
James is rocked!
It looks like Alex James has been cut.
Oppelaar lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt James quite badly. James pulls Oppelaar in close trying to recover. Oppelaar postures up and lands two really hard shots that put James on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but James doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dennis Oppelaar!
