Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Forrest Griffin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Kordic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Forrest Griffin has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, George Francis and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kordic just misses with a punch to the body.
Griffin buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Kordic misses the shot to the body.
Kordic swats away the attempt to clinch by Griffin .
Kordic throws a jab when Griffin was well out of range.
Griffin tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kordic paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Kordic throws a lazy right hand but Griffin sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Kordic's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Griffin jumps guard but Kordic stands there with Griffin around his waist. Griffin gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Kordic lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Griffin or not.

Griffin seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Griffin is looking to clinch but Kordic is avoiding it.
And Kordic tries to counter it with a takedown but Griffin pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Griffin doesn't manage to clinch there - Kordic circles away.
A looping hook to the body misses from Kordic. Griffin does a little dance to reset his feet.
Kordic closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Griffin to the mat! Griffin manages to get full guard.
Kordic pushing down on Griffin 's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Kordic lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kordic is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Kordic prevents Griffin from standing back up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
John Kordic dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Kordic has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Kordic fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Griffin sprawls well initially but Kordic persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Kordic is nestled in close to Griffin , controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Oh Griffin is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Kordic lands a massive shot from half guard that has rocked Griffin ! More strikes land and this one is all over! Kordic jumps to his feet and is applauded loudly by the crowd!
