Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Artur Muller!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Brett Iowa!
The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Daniel Franklin and Winston Alpacca.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Muller with that takedown attempt.
Iowa misses with a body punch
and Muller counters with a stiff right hand.
A cross from Muller lands.

Iowa closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Muller is looking to control Iowa's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Muller avoid being mounted?

Iowa is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Iowa seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Iowa stands up and beckons Muller to join him on the feet.
Muller thumps Iowa with a low kick.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Iowa closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Iowa lands in his opponent's guard.
Muller wants to stand but Iowa is controlling the position.
Iowa controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
It looks like Iowa might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Iowa's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Iowa gets to his feet - Muller follows without any prompting.
Muller shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Iowa counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Iowa looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Iowa is continuing to stall.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Iowa working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Muller doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Muller manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Muller wants to control from the top but Iowa keeps moving.

Muller gets caught flat footed, as Iowa shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Iowa seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Muller wants to control but Iowa passes easily into half guard.

Iowa takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Iowa passes into side control, despite Muller's attempt to control the position.
Muller is trying to escape the position but Iowa is controlling the position.
Muller wants to control but Iowa postures up.

Iowa stands up and beckons Muller to his feet.

Iowa shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Muller manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Iowa wants to pass the guard but Muller is keeping the position.
Iowa must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Iowa is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

Muller is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Iowa has Muller pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Iowa pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Muller tumbling to the mat - Iowa dives into Muller's guard.

Iowa stands up from Muller's guard - Iowa perhaps looking for a knockout.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Muller.

Iowa closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Muller's guard.
Iowa stands up over Muller, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Iowa is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Brett Iowa showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Iowa scores with punches and elbows.
Iowa is riding his opponent, not letting Muller buck him off.
Iowa lands a punch that was close to the back of the head but the ref thinks it's OK.
Iowa is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
Iowa throwing strikes from the back - he gets a warning from the referee for striking the back of the head but all these shots are hurting Muller!
Iowa has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Muller defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Iowa's arms.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Iowa slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
Muller tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
Iowa lands a big shot there that rocks Muller but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Iowa lands a heavy elbow.
Iowa scores with a couple of good head shots there.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Iowa is working for a guillotine from mount but Muller frees his head quite easily.

Brett Iowa comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Iowa winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
