0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Eddie Johnson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Steve Jones! The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johnson fails to land with a series of punches.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Johnson keeps Jones at a distance using the push kick. Jones shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Jones showed some decent athleticism there. Jones is pressing down on Johnson's thigh, looking to free his foot. Johnson is holding on for now. Jones slips a nice elbow through Johnson's hands, connecting with Johnson's forehead. Johnson is looking to improve his position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jones wants to control but Johnson is keeping him busy. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jones stops Johnson from getting back to his feet.

It looks like Eddie Johnson has been cut. Johnson closes the distance looking to clinch and Jones counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Jones works his foot free and advances to mount. Jones wants to control the pace but Johnson is squirming around nicely. Johnson is looking to improve his position but Jones isn't that keen on the idea. Jones scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Johnson?

Jones can't control as he wanted to and Johnson manages to get the fight back to his half guard. Johnson is trying to stand up here but Jones is controlling him well. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Jones with a couple of short strikes. Jones landing strikes, looking to finish! Johnson fails in his attempt to clinch. Jones's coach down at Quick Fingers BEST BANG FOR BUCK Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Jones's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Jones misses with an uppercut. Jones swats away the attempt to clinch by Johnson. Jones dodges the punch combination from Johnson.

The fight stays on the outside here - Johnson looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Jones keeps the fight on the outside. Johnson moves in looking to clinch but Jones pushes him off. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Jones seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Johnson has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Jones struggling a bit here. Jones is trying to work for a sweep but Johnson has mounted him! Jones controls the position.

That was a close second round but I would say that Eddie Johnson will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Eddie Johnson's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. And we move into the final round!

Johnson keeping moving, preventing Jones from controlling successfully. Jones stops Johnson from standing up. Jones with a nice head shot there. Jones works over Johnson with some ground and pound from guard.

Jones thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Johnson is looking to regain half guard here but Jones keeps moving and retains side control. Johnson takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Johnson is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Jones is controlling him well. Johnson is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Johnson is working to avoid the ground and pound but Jones connects with a decent elbow. Jones not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Jones wants to pass the guard but Johnson is defending well. Johnson trying to control from the bottom.

That's better than Jones was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Johnson is trying to control Jones's posture but Jones avoids it. Jones wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Johnson, who protects the arm well. Johnson is looking to reverse the position. Jones is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Johnson knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Jones tries to move to full mount but Johnson actually manages to regain half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Steve Jones comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Jones has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
