Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Atlas MacDowell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hidalgo Montoya (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Montoya comes into a darkened arena with his song building. El Toro kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Montoya darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
MacDowell trying to hold on to Montoya's head to control him but Montoya postures up.
Montoya looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Well Montoya has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Hidalgo Montoya tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
