Both these fighters are unbeaten, so somebody's 0 has got to go!Davy Geerts is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Quinton Hach! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Davy Geerts! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hach moves into range and clinches up with Geerts. Geerts on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Hach wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Geerts shoots in for a takedown but Hach shows good takedown defense. Hach scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Geerts fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Hach lands a two punch combo.
Hach rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Geerts moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Hach misses with a jab, cross combination.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The fighters circle momentarily. Hach darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Hach's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Hach duly obliges. Nice takedown defense from Hach. No joy for Geerts on that attempt. A left and a right from Hach both land. Nice combination. Hach lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Hach. Hach moves into the clinch successfully.

Geerts shoots in and drives through. Hach sprawls well. Hach looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Hach goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Hach fails with an attempt to clinch.
That's six minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Geerts shoots in and drives through. Hach sprawls well. Hach tries to clinch there but Geerts circles away.
Geerts tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Hach swivels and escapes. Quinton Hach seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hach looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Hach lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

That's seven minutes gone in the round. Geerts walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Hach fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Geerts manages to avoid it. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Geerts. Hach fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Geerts, pushing him back against the ropes. Hach misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Geerts.
Geerts gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Geerts wants to pass the guard but Hach is keeping the position. Geerts stands up over Hach, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Geerts trying to control but Hach is working from the bottom. Geerts tries to free his leg and advance position but Hach is retaining full guard.
That's eight minutes gone in the round. Geerts trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Geerts advances position into side control! Hach is looking to regain half guard here but Geerts keeps moving and retains side control. Geerts landing strikes. Geerts thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Hach is looking for a sweep. Hach regains half guard. Hach is defending against the submission attempts here by Geerts.

Hach Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Geerts's back instead. Hach throwing damaging strikes from the back! Geerts could be in trouble here!

Geerts keeps control of Hach as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Hach wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Geerts has him pressed against the ropes. Geerts is trying to trip Hach. He has hold of a leg but Hach is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Geerts persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Hach is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Geerts seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Hach has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Geerts sneaks back into half guard. Geerts slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Geerts manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Hach manages to get himself to full guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Hach with a flurry of punches that miss. Hach stands up out of Geerts's guard for a moment - Geerts manages to land a nice upkick. Hach is looking to work some ground and pound but Geerts has wrist control. Geerts wants to sweep here but Hach controlling him for the moment. Hach is sitting in close to Geerts's body. Geerts has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Hach is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Hach is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Geerts.
