Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 4 - 1, fighting out of New York, Leigh Ellison! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Brock Foster! The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, John Roberts and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Foster gets a double leg takedown into Ellison's guard. Foster looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Ellison not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ellison wants to stand up but Foster is controlling him.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Foster closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Foster trying to control the action but Ellison is working from the bottom. Foster looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ellison is trying to improve his position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ellison sneaks back into half guard. Ellison tries to kick Foster off but Foster keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Ellison might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Ellison looking for submissions off his back. Foster trying to control from half guard but Ellison is working away.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Ellison really is a fat lump. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Ellison. Brock Foster seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fight stays on the outside here - Ellison looks like he's thinking about clinching though. A little jabbing left from Foster on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Ellison keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.

As Foster tries to get set, Ellison tries to push him back and clinch up but Foster manages to avoid the attempt. Ellison shoots in for a takedown but Foster shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Foster tries to counter with a clinch but Ellison shakes him off and moves away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Leigh Ellison. That's going to take a lot out of him. Foster gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Ellison to score an easy takedown into full guard. Ellison with a flurry of punches that miss.

Foster has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Foster looking to sit in guard and control but Ellison gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Ellison stands up from guard. Let's bang! Ellison feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Foster's calf. Foster misses with a wild body shot. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Ellison.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ellison looks to land a left hand but Foster moved out of range nicely. Ellison throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Foster's waist but Foster gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ellison off to one side. Ellison jabbing away but nothing is landing. Foster changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Ellison changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Foster tries to avoid it but Ellison manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Foster to the ground. Foster escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Ellison dives in for a single leg takedown but Foster sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Ellison scores with a jab. Ellison closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Ellison drops down looking for an ankle pick but Foster pulls his leg out and moves away.
Ellison will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Foster feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Foster gets to his feet. Ellison looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Foster darts in and clinches Ellison up against the cage. Ellison manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Foster trying to control but Ellison is working from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Ellison looking for a sweep. Not yet Ellison, not yet. Foster stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ellison swivels though and keeps the full guard. Ellison is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Brock Foster will probably get the nod - 10:9. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!

Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Foster's head. Ellison wants to stand but Foster has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Foster tries to roll over but Ellison keeps him under control. Ellison is looking for a kimura here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Ellison looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Ellison shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Foster is trying to defend but Ellison finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ellison lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Ellison sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Foster defending well though. Ellison is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Ellison is working for a submission of some sort.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Ellison thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Foster's head.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Foster throws a push kick but Ellison slaps the foot to one side.
And that's the end of the fight! Leigh Ellison showed his dominance in that final round. I think Foster has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
