Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Michal Filipovic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Artem Korotkov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Michal Filipovic! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 12 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Artem Korotkov! The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Illya Tyunina and Aleksei Zolotukhin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Filipovic fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Korotkov manages to avoid it. Despite the aggression on Korotkov's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Korotkov throws a right and a left that both miss. Filipovic tries to counter by clinching up but Korotkov breaks away and moves out of range. Korotkov slips a straight right by Filipovic. Korotkov tries to counter with a clinch but Filipovic shakes him off and moves away. Filipovic thumps Korotkov with a low kick. Korotkov swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Korotkov is looking to clinch but Filipovic is avoiding it.
Artem Korotkov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Filipovic showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Korotkov.
Korotkov has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Korotkov shoots for a double leg takedown but Filipovic sprawls well. He's pushed Korotkov's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. We've been told by Filipovic's head coaches at Mo's ($499) that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Korotkov misses with a double jab.
A head kick from Filipovic lands but Korotkov takes it in his stride. Korotkov lands a lovely overhand right. Korotkov connects with a jab. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Korotkov tries for a takedown but Filipovic sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Filipovic seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Korotkov tries to clinch but Filipovic moves out of range. Filipovic scores with a head kick. Korotkov tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time. Filipovic chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Filipovic, right into the meat.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Korotkov. Michal Filipovic has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Artem Korotkov.
That's one minute gone in the round. Korotkov throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Filipovic. Korotkov stalks Filipovic and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Filipovic's face. Filipovic staggers backwards, shaken. Korotkov throws a right hand that Filipovic ducks under and follows up with a left that Filipovic also avoids with ease. Filipovic misses with a few strikes there.
Korotkov walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Filipovic connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Korotkov momentarily.
Korotkov shoots in and drives through. Filipovic sprawls well. Filipovic appears to be looking for a big counter. Korotkov tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Filipovic paws at him with a jab and circles away. Korotkov shoots in looking for a takedown but Filipovic manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Korotkov's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Korotkov looks winded! Korotkov throws a right and a left that Filipovic avoids nicely. Filipovic avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Filipovic lands a leg kick that knocks Korotkov off balance momentarily. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Korotkov is looking to clinch. Korotkov avoids the head kick by Filipovic.
Korotkov fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Filipovic, pushing him back against the cage. Korotkov is working for takedown but Filipovic is calmly controlling the position for now. Korotkov is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Filipovic is defending well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Korotkov tries to score a body lock takedown but Filipovic shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Filipovic drops Korotkov with a big knee straight up the middle! Korotkov is covering up against the cage but manages to escape and gets back to his feet!
Korotkov is rocked!
It looks like Artem Korotkov has been cut. Ohhhhhhhhhh, brutal head kick from Filipovic! This one is all over!
