These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Decent striking displayed by The Warrior there.
The Warrior throws a hook to the side of Briggs's head but Briggs sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
A looping hook to the body misses from The Warrior. Briggs does a little dance to reset his feet.
Briggs lands a body shot.
Briggs throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

A counter left hand to the body from Briggs misses its target.
Briggs swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

The Warrior drives through and clinches with Briggs against the cage.
Briggs swings wildly with an uppercut but The Warrior uses good head movement to avoid it.
Briggs can't find room to land a body shot as The Warrior controls the action.

Briggs pushes The Warrior back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

It looks like Ajax The Warrior has been cut.
A nice left hand lands by Briggs.

Briggs fakes a jab and throws a low kick but The Warrior checks it well.
Briggs just misses with a punch to the body.

It looks like Jax Briggs has been cut.
The Warrior keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Briggs.
The Warrior fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
The Warrior avoids the body shot from Briggs.
The Warrior misses with a body shot.
Briggs lands a body shot.
Briggs connects with a looping right hand.
A big right from The Warrior misses.
Briggs shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

The Warrior lands a left and a right that send Briggs crashing to the mat, dazed. The Warrior thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Briggs misses the shot to the body.
Briggs throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck The Warrior on the side of the head.
We've been hearing reports that Briggs has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
