Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Juan Salazar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ground Pound (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Salazar kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Mama Said Knock you Out. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Juan Salazar! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ground Pound! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Cecil Peabody and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice defenses there by Pound. Salazar swats away the attempt to clinch by Pound. Salazar connects with a nice looking jab.
It looks like Ground Pound has been cut. Salazar stuffs the takedown. Salazar circles away from the clinch attempt.
Pound gets the takedown into side control. Salazar tries to get back to half guard but can't. Salazar sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Pound decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. Pound keeps the fight on the outside. Salazar with a nice cross. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Salazar throws a hook but Pound avoids it easily. Salazar fails with an attempt to clinch.
Pound swats away the attempt to clinch by Salazar. Pound has managed to clinch.
Salazar wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Pound has him pressed against the cage. Pound is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Salazar gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Salazar has had enough of the clinch but Pound keeps him there for the moment. Pound breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Salazar fails with the takedown. Pound has closed the distance and engaged Salazar in a clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round. Pound breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Salazar tries to land a leg kick but Pound saw it coming and moves away.
Salazar fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Salazar scores with a three punch combo!
Pound gets in close and instigates a clinch. Salazar is trying to break the clinch but Pound has him pressed against the cage. Pound keeps control of Salazar as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Pound prevents Salazar from breaking the clinch. Pound lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Salazar is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Pound goes for a takedown in the clinch but Salazar prevents it.
Juan Salazar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ground Pound. Salazar wants to break free but Pound has control.
Salazar throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Pounds head. Salazar avoiding damage as Pound throws knees to the body.

Salazar decides to pull guard. Salazar working for a triangle but Pound defends it easily.
Salazar is breathing heavily. Salazar looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Salazar throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Pound escapes and throws Salazar's legs to the side, diving into side control! Pound lands a nice forearm strike. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Salazar is not content to let Pound control the position. Pound is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Salazar has escaped the position, nice work there. Salazar is positioning himself to get back to half guard. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Salazar takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Salazar struggling a bit here. Pound looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pound working the head with strikes. Pound decides to stand back up. Pound steps back and let's Salazar get back to his feet. Salazar fails in his attempt to clinch. Pound fails with a takedown attempt. Salazar throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Salazar swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Salazar throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Pound's waist but Pound gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Salazar off to one side. Pound tries to clinch but Salazar moves out of range. Pound on the wrong end of a nice jab. Pound forces Salazar back against the cage and clinches. Salazar is looking to break free of the clinch but Pound has double underhooks. Pound successfully pulls guard.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Pound throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Salazar is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Salazar content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Pound keeping moving, preventing Salazar from controlling successfully. Pound wants to stand up but Salazar is controlling him. Salazar thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Pound kicks Salazar off and gets to his feet. Salazar throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. A big left from Salazar misses. A slow jab from Salazar misses its intended target. Salazar misses with a looping left. Pound clinches up against the cage. Pound tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Juan Salazar will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Ground Pound's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Pound avoids a punch combination nicely.
Salazar misses with a takedown attempt and Pound counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Salazar's guard now. Salazar looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Pound trying to control the position from guard on top but Salazar is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Salazar is working an open guard so Pound takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Pound shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Salazar as he jumps to the side. Salazar shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Pound can't escape the position.
Pound defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Salazar. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Salazar throwing shots from mount but they're not landing. Pound regains half guard. Salazar working over Pound with some ground and pound. Pound looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Salazar moves nicely into side control. Pound is looking for a sweep. Salazar tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Salazar has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Pound is looking to reverse the position. Salazar is trying to get an arm triangle but Pound is defending well. Pound striking from the bottom but nothing landed.
That's two minutes gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Pound's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Pound manages to work his way to half guard, despite Salazar's best efforts. Pound is looking for a sweep. Salazar is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Salazar stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Pound to get to his feet. Salazar misses with a low kick. Pound staying out of range there. Salazar fails to land the takedown. Pound drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Salazar working for a triangle but Pound defends it easily.
Salazar looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Pound has picked Salazar up and slammed him! Salazar can't keep hold of the triangle and Pound manages to pass to side control!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Salazar looking for a sweep but Pound has passed into full mount! Oh no! Pound blocks Salazar's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom. Ground Pound has got the better of the ground game so far. Pound scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Pound prevents Salazar from getting the reversal. Pound landing strikes from the mount and Salazar is in trouble! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Salazar tries to reverse the position but Pound maintains control. Pound landing strikes from the mount and Salazar is in trouble! Salazar is bucking up trying to escape but Pound cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Salazar bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Salazar drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Salazar jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Salazar preventing the sweep. That's four minutes gone in the round. Salazar tries to clinch but fails miserably and Pound counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Pound. Salazar wants to get back to his feet but Pound is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Pound advances position into side control! Salazar gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Salazar moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Salazar has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Pound can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Salazar wants to sweep but no luck. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Pound landing some decent shots from guard. Salazar keeping moving, preventing Pound from controlling successfully. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ground Pound showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Ground Pound's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Pound tries to clinch up. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Salazar closes the distance and clinches up with Pound, looking for a takedown. Salazar pushes Pound against the cage but Pound circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Pound gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Pound lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
It looks like Juan Salazar has been cut. Pound lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Salazar is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Pound pulls his head out easily. Salazar is staying active underneath Pound, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Pound uses his free foot to push down on Salazar's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Salazar. Salazar can't escape the position.

Pound is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Salazar can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Pound working away from the top, dropping strikes. Pound with the ground and pound from mount. Pound thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Salazar is trying desperately to improve position. Pound dominating with strikes here. Salazar throwing hammer fists to the chest of Pound. What's that going to do exactly? Salazar manages to regain half guard. Good work.
And that's the end of the fight! Ground Pound comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Pound has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
