These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
18 - 11 - 0, fighting out of London, Nopparat Somchaimy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Michal Cieslak! The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Sam Margolis and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Somchaimy closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Somchaimy misses with an attempted head punch from side control. The strikes coming from Somchaimy are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Somchaimy working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Somchaimy lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Somchaimy connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Cieslak some visible discomfort.
Somchaimy postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Somchaimy sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Cieslak is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Cieslak told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet. Somchaimy working the ground and pound but Cieslak is defending the strikes.
That's one minute gone in the round. Somchaimy in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Somchaimy grinds an elbow into Cieslak's temple. Somchaimy postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Cieslak really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Somchaimy. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Somchaimy scores with a couple of short elbows. Somchaimy cracks Cieslak with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Somchaimy immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Cieslak is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Somchaimy!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Nopparat Somchaimy!
