Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rafinha Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ruben Yanez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Mauricio Rocha and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yanez tries to close the distance and clinch but Silva swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Silva's jab looks to have found its range, popping Yanez under the eye.
Yanez fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Silva, pushing him back against the cage.
Silva throws a punch but it's blocked by Yanez.
Yanez lands a takedown into guard.
Yanez trying to control but Silva is working from the bottom.

Silva preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Yanez stays in close to Silva's body and controls the position.

Yanez wants to pass the guard but Silva is keeping the position.
Yanez is looking to work some ground and pound but Silva has wrist control.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Nice takedown defense from Silva. No joy for Yanez on that attempt.
Yanez has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Silva finds it's way round the side to connect with Yanez's head.

Yanez tries to close the distance and clinch but Silva swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Yanez takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

Yanez tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Silva manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Yanez has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Silva is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Yanez is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Silva pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Rafinha Silva has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ruben Yanez.
Silva tries a body shot but Yanez blocks it.

Yanez tries to pull guard but Silva holds him up against the cage and eventually Yanez drops back down to his feet.
Silva scores with a nice hook to the head.
Silva lands a left hand.
Silva has a couple of punches blocked by Yanez.
Yanez drops down looking for an ankle pick but Silva pulls his leg out and moves away.

Silva seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Yanez shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Silva counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Oooooh!!! Silva has knocked Yanez down with a huge combo! Silva steps away and waves a wobbly Yanez back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Yanez is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Yanez takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Yanez is still on wobbly legs! Can Silva finish him?
Silva scores with a shot to the body.

Silva lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Yanez at a distance.
Silva feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Yanez sprawling to the canvas! Yanez rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Silva finish him?!
Silva is looking to wear down Yanez with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Silva sees an opening and throws a straight punch right through Yanez's defenses. It connects perfectly with Yanez's jaw and knocks him out cold! Wow - that's a contender for knockout of the year - absolutely brutal!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Rafinha Silva!
