Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hjalti Eyj (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and DeAngelo Kenner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Eyj comes into the arena with I'm Sexy and I Know It blaring out of the sound system. Kenner is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: ''Death Wish'' by Jadakiss feat. Lil Wayne. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Hjalti Eyj!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 26 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, DeAngelo Kenner!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Dillan Fox and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kenner fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Eyj dives in and grabs Kenner's left leg, looking for a takedown. Kenner pushes down on Eyj's head and hops out.
Kenner tried to score with a low kick but Eyj checks it.
Eyj shoots in looking for a takedown but Kenner manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Eyj's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
A slow jab from Kenner misses its intended target.
Eyj fires out a quick counter leg kick but Kenner just manages to avoid it.
Eyj fails with the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hjalti Eyj. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Eyj tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Kenner swivels and escapes.

Eyj shoots in but no luck this time.
Kenner doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Kenner feints a jab promting Eyj to slip. Kenner then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Eyj slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Donk. Kenner catches Eyj right on the button with a cross.
Kenner cracks the inside of Eyj's front leg.
Eyj throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kenner's waist but Kenner gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Eyj off to one side.
Kenner avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Kenner has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Eyj is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Kenner dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Eyj. That did some damage!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Kenner looks to score with a jab to the body but Eyj is just out of range.

Eyj throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Kenner was covering up waiting for the punch and Eyj finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Kenner is pulling down on Eyj's head. It's preventing any offense from Eyj, at least for the moment.
Eyj trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Kenner is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Eyj tries to roll over but Kenner keeps him under control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Eyj is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Kenner pulls his head out easily.
Kenner has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Eyj manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Eyj tries to roll over but Kenner keeps him under control.
Kenner wants to pass the guard but Eyj is defending well.
Kenner looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Let's hope that Kenner has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Eyj moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Eyj is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Kenner is aware though and is defending well.

Eyj looking for a guillotine here but Kenner defends easily.
Kenner is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Eyj controls Kenner momentarily but Kenner frees himself.

Eyj working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kenner doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kenner manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Kenner wants to control from the top but Eyj keeps moving.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Kenner seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Eyj escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kenner gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Eyj has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kenner can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Eyj is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Eyj manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Kenner on his heels. He'll look to pass Kenner's guard now, I'm sure.
Eyj throws an elbow that misses. Kenner uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Eyj's guard. Nice move by Kenner!


Eyj escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kenner gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Eyj had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Kenner defends it easily.

Kenner got a little sloppy there for a moment and Eyj has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kenner has managed to get both his arms back between Eyj's legs - danger averted.

Eyj has his foot on Kenner's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kenner works his way back into a safe position though.

Kenner tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Kenner has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Kenner is looking to take a break and control but Eyj is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

That was a close second round but I would say that Hjalti Eyj will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

I think Kenner has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
