Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Johnny McHail (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dave Kopp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Johnny McHail! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dave Kopp! The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Ian Loll and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kopp shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. McHail wants to improve his position but Kopp is controlling well.
McHail pushes Kopp off looking to stand but Kopp dives back in and keeps control.
McHail wants to control but Kopp is keeping busy and won't allow it. McHail definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Kopp throwing shots but McHail is blocking nicely. McHail on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Kopp is nestled in close to McHail, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Kopp throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kopp lands strikes from half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. McHail wants to control but Kopp is keeping busy.

He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Kopp lands strikes from half guard. Kopp thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed McHail's head. McHail wants to improve his position but Kopp is controlling well.

Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. McHail managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Kopp.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

McHail taking a bit of punishment here - Kopp scoring with strikes. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. McHail tries to improve position but can't. Kopp scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at McHail to see if he's OK. Kopp is working McHail over with some ground and pound from side control. Kopp lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear McHail down.

Kopp lands a couple of elbows. Kopp is working McHail over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. McHail has his foot on Kopp's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kopp works his way back into a safe position though. Both fighters are breathing heavily. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Kopp unloading with bombs!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kopp has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of McHail's face.

McHail is rocked! Kopp lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Oh McHail is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Kopp landing punches. Kopp with good strikes from the mount here! The ref calls for McHail to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
