Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Sean Myler!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Glenn Glasden!
The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Ivan Kurochkin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Myler lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Myler looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Glasden throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Myler looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit.
Myler's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Myler duly obliges.
Myler blocks a head kick by Glasden.
Myler lands the left hand.
Glasden jabs at Myler's body.
Glasden takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Glasden misses with a hook to the body
and Myler counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Nice shot lands for Myler.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
A nice inside leg kick there by Myler. That's going to slow Glasden down.
Glasden has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Myler finds it's way round the side to connect with Glasden's head.
Glasden throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Glasden misses with a head kick.
Myler misses with a looping left.
Glasden cracks Myler with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Myler lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Glasden throws a leg kick
and Myler counters with a straight right hand.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Myler! Glasden is out on his feet! Myler rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Glasden is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Glasden is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Sean Myler!
