The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tomas falls off balance throwing a combination
and Silva decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Tomas's guard.
Silva thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Tomas wants to sweep here but Silva controlling him for the moment.
Silva slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Tomas controls Silva momentarily but Silva frees himself.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Tomas is trying to hold Silva in close to prevent damage but Silva has managed to pass into half guard.
Silva is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Silva is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Tomas is just riding it out for now. Silva eventually gives up the hold.

Silva fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Tomas sprawls well initially but Silva persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Tomas escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Silva gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Silva slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Tomas seems a little lost for a moment, as Silva dominates the positioning.

Tomas looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Tomas is trying to control Silva's posture but Silva avoids it.
Silva gets to mount! Tomas was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.

Silva jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Tomas manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Silva looking for a triangle here. Tomas is fighting it but it looks tight! Silva pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Tomas is tapping out - this one is all over!
