Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Eero Potka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Katu Pommittaja (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Potka comes to the cage accompanied by Neon 2 - Tässä Talossa. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Eero Potka! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Katu Pommittaja! The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Anni Minnemäki and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Potka misses with a double jab.
Potka clinches up with Pommittaja and pushes him back against the cage. Potka is trying to maintain a safe position but Pommittaja gets an underhook and turns Potka into the cage. Potka can't break the clinch.
Potka breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Pommittaja throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Potka scores with a body shot.
Pommittaja closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Potka to the mat! Potka manages to get full guard. Pommittaja slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Potka controls Pommittaja momentarily but Pommittaja frees himself. Pommittaja seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Potka keeping moving, preventing Pommittaja from controlling successfully. Potka is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Pommittaja is controlling him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Potka is trying to keep Pommittaja in close.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Potka goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Potka tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Pommittaja paws at him with a jab and circles away. Eero Potka seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Potka lands a high kick!

Potka tries to clinch but Pommittaja is having none of it. Eero Potka is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Pommittaja wants to clinch. Pommittaja forces Potka back against the cage and clinches. Pommittaja has hold of one of Potka's legs. Potka is fighting the takedown attempt but Pommittaja gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Pommittaja controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pommittaja pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Potka is keeping the position for now. Pommittaja drops back looking for a leg! Potka is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Potka manages to kick Pommittaja off! Pommittaja jumps back into Potka's guard. Pommittaja should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Pommittaja sitting in guard, not really doing much. Potka knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Pommittaja on the ground.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Pommittaja stands and steps away. Potka gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Potka throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

A close round but Katu Pommittaja will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Potka throws a body kick, spinning off balance and Pommittaja counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Pommittaja. Potka has had enough of the clinch but Pommittaja keeps him there for the moment. Potka is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Pommittaja breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Pommittaja shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Potka's guard. Pommittaja controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Pommittaja stands up and waves to Potka to follow him. Potka is looking to clinch. Potka forces Pommittaja back against the cage and clinches. Pommittaja letting Potka take a breather here. Potka taking a breather. Potka with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Potka wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Pommittaja has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Potka is trying to keep an underhook but Pommittaja manages to get the takedown into half guard. Pommittaja controlling the action here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pommittaja not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Pommittaja tries to stand and escape but Potka is controlling the position. Pommittaja content to control rather than advance.

Pommittaja is taking a breather. Potka says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Potka tries to kick Pommittaja off but Pommittaja keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Well, if Pommittaja is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pommittaja is looking to advance position but Potka won't allow it. Pommittaja decides to stand and escape the position. Pommittaja shoots for a double leg takedown but Potka sprawls well. He's pushed Pommittaja's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Pommittaja throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Potka's waist but Potka gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Pommittaja off to one side. Potka rushes Pommittaja and presses him up against the cage. Potka using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Pommittaja has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Pommittaja gets control of Potka's arms and successfully pulls guard. Pommittaja will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Pommittaja is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Potka stands up from Pommittaja's guard - Potka perhaps looking for a knockout. Pommittaja fails to land the takedown. Eero Potka has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Katu Pommittaja. Potka lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

Katu Pommittaja showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
Pommittaja takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Pommittaja tries to clinch up but Potka circles away and keeps his distance. Pommittaja shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Pommittaja controlling his opponent. Let's hope that Pommittaja has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Pommittaja thowing shots but they're missing. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pommittaja content just to control the position here. Potka is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Pommittaja working some short elbows here. He postures up to throw some more ground and pound but Potka slips a leg through to get back to half guard. Nice work.
Pommittaja is looking to take a break and control but Potka is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Pommittaja uses his free foot to push down on Potka's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Potka.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Potka is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Eero Potka has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Pommittaja looking to finish with strikes here!
Pommittaja lands a heavy elbow. Katu Pommittaja is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Potka really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
And that's the end of the fight! Katu Pommittaja comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Pommittaja winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
