Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Craig David (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tarmo Goyf (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). David's entrance music is The Who - Baba O'Riley. A fine choice. The crowd seem to be enjoying Goyf's choice of entrance music: Disturbed - Asylum. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
29 - 27 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Craig David! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tarmo Goyf! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, William Peck and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! David throws a head kick but Goyf moves out of range.
Goyf throws a head kick that misses. David tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Goyf throws a sloppy head kick and David counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. David content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Goyf won't allow David to pass to mount. David throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Goyf really doesn't want to stay on the ground with David. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. David thows a huge punch but Goyf dodges it nicely.
Goyf is trying to stand up here but David is controlling him well. David looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Goyf keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Goyf tries to kick David off but David keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. David landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Goyf is trying to stand up here but David is controlling him well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Goyf won't allow David to pass to mount. David throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Goyf is trying to stand back up but David is controlling him
David is controlling the pace.
Goyf felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Goyf can do anything to dispel that myth. Goyf pushes David off looking to stand but David dives back in and keeps control.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. David missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Goyf wants to get back to his feet.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. The fight moves into the clinch position. David tries to land knees in the clinch but Goyf avoids the damage to the body. David is pushing Goyf up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Goyf being controlled against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. David tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
David has Goyf pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Goyf manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. David dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. David tries to land knees in the clinch but Goyf avoids the damage to the body. David is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
David stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. Goyf managing to block the knees to the body from David.
Goyf takes a knee to the side of the body.
That's three minutes gone in the round. David misses with a punch on the inside.
Come on David - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
David goes for a takedown attempt but Goyf pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
David tries to clinch but Goyf moves out of range. David throws a low kick but Goyf moves out of range easily. A head kick misses from Goyf. Goyf throws a head kick that misses. David ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Goyf moves away. David chopping away at his opponent's legs.

David is looking to chop away at Goyf's legs. Goyf scores with a head kick. David tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time. Goyf checks a leg kick. Goyf tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. David fails to land with a series of punches.
That's four minutes gone in the round. David throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Goyf connects with a high kick. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! David tries to work over Goyf's front leg with a kick but Goyf checks it. Goyf tries a head kick but it misses.

Goyf checks a leg kick. Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Goyf! David is out on his feet! Goyf rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - David is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! David is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tarmo Goyf! A very excited looking Tarmo Goyf rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
