The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mcguire tries to keep at a distance but Mee has taken the fight into the clinch.
Mee tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Mcguire smiles and moves away.

Mee clinches up with Mcguire and pushes him back against the cage.
Mee tries to pull guard but Mcguire forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Mee tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Mcguire blocks an elbow strike from Mee.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mee misses with a body punch.
Mcguire drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Mcguire drops down looking for an ankle pick but Mee pulls his leg out and moves away.

Mcguire fails in his attempt to clinch.
Mee fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Mcguire avoids it really well and circles away.
Alonso Mcguire has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bruce Mee.
Mee darts in looking for a takedown but Mcguire gets double underhooks and turns Mee into the cage.
Mee misses with a kick to the body.

Mee rushes Mcguire and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Mee has Mcguire pushed against the cage.
Mee stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.

Mee jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Mcguire walks away with a smile on his face. Mee gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Mee fails with the takedown
and Mcguire counters with a head kick. That will keep Mee thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Mee will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Mee tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Mcguire smiles and moves away.

Mcguire clinches up against the cage.
Mee has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Mcguire avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Mcguire tries for a takedown. No joy.
Mee is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Mee scores with a shoulder strike.
Mcguire could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Mcguire tries to score a body lock takedown but Mee shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Mee is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Mcguire is defending well.

Mee has had enough of the clinch but Mcguire keeps him there for the moment.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Mcguire tries to pull guard but Mee holds him up against the cage and eventually Mcguire drops back down to his feet.
Mee stops a takedown attempt from Mcguire.

Mcguire pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Mee gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Mee fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Mee jumps guard but Mcguire turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Mcguire has Mee pressed against the cage, preventing Mee from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Mee breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Bruce Mee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mee shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Alonso Mcguire has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bruce Mee.

Mee looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Mcguire seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.

Mee closes the distance and clinches.

Mcguire pulls Mee into guard.
Mee with a flurry of punches that miss.

Mcguire isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Mee stacks Mcguire on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Mee!
Mcguire sneaks back into half guard.
Mee tries to stand but can't do so whilst Mcguire controls his leg.
Mee is controlling the pace.

Mcguire regains full guard. Nicely done.

Mee is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Mcguire has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Mee is looking to defend but Mcguire has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Mee! Mcguire pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Mee taps out and this one is all over!
