1 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jamal Mohammed! The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Steve Montenegro and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tap shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Tap seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Mohammed is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Tap avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Tap tries to free his leg and advance position but Mohammed is retaining full guard. Mohammed has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Tap can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Mohammed is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Tap trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Mohammed looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Tap is defending well. Mohammed quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Tap has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Mohammed celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.

After the fight, Jamal Mohammed was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
