Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Merkan Killmaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kyz Metamoris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Killmaz comes to the cage accompanied by Black Blade. The key to victory for Merkan Killmaz has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Kyz Metamoris! The judges for this bout are Josh West, Ryoma Takatsuka and Micheangelo Fripello.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Killmaz throws a series of strikes that have Metamoris backpedaling.
Metamoris's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Killmaz connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Metamoris scrambles back to his feet. Killmaz stuffs the takedown. Metamoris looking to score a takedown here. Killmaz is defending well but Metamoris drives through and ends up in Killmaz's guard. Killmaz wants to sweep here but Metamoris controlling him for the moment. Metamoris prevents Killmaz from getting back to his feet. Metamoris wants to control from the top but Killmaz keeps moving. Killmaz uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Metamoris is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. Metamoris is looking for a kimura but Killmaz is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Metamoris to get the leverage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Merkan Killmaz will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

And Metamoris tries to counter it with a takedown but Killmaz pushes his down on his head and steps out. Metamoris shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Killmaz but Killmaz pushes him off and we're back to square one. It looked like Killmaz wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Killmaz lands a jab to the nose. Metamoris closes the distance and clinches up with Killmaz, looking for a takedown. Metamoris pushes Killmaz against the cage but Killmaz circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Metamoris fails with a takedown attempt. Merkan Killmaz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kyz Metamoris. Nice cross by Killmaz. Killmaz feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Metamoris's calf. Metamoris changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Killmaz looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Killmaz is trying to control Metamoris's posture but Metamoris avoids it. Metamoris has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at The Dojo. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one. Killmaz taking punishment in the form of punches.

Metamoris is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Killmaz knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Metamoris is trying to land an Americana. Metamoris takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Killmaz slaps away a takedown attempt from Metamoris, before circling back to the center of the mat. Killmaz connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Killmaz pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Metamoris back to the cage. Killmaz follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Metamoris will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Metamoris takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Killmaz throws a quick inside leg kick. Metamoris tries to score a power double leg takedown but Killmaz sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Metamoris somewhat. Killmaz lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick. A jab lands there for Killmaz. Killmaz stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Killmaz wants it to stay on the feet. Killmaz scores with a sloppy right hand. Metamoris should have avoided that one. Nice shot lands for Killmaz. Metamoris has a takedown stuffed. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Killmaz fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Killmaz with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
