Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Denny Chase (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Martin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Martin's choice of entrance music: Power by Kayne West. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Chris Saunders and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chase shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Martin but Martin pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Martin swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Martin tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Chase was well out of range. Poor timing from Martin.
As Martin tries to get set, Chase tries to push him back and clinch up but Martin manages to avoid the attempt.
Chase wants to clinch up but Martin keeps it at a distance.
Martin looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Chase shoots in for a takedown but Martin shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Martin shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Chase manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Martin is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Chase has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Martin is looking to defend but Chase has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Martin! Chase pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Martin taps out and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Denny Chase!
