Waranggai comes to the cage accompanied by Dangdut Koplo. The key to victory for Tito Waranggai has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tito Waranggai!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Steven Johnson!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Kenichi Hosakawa and Shigeki Sano.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Waranggai throws a head kick that misses.
Waranggai definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Johnson dives in and scores a takedown into Waranggai's guard.
Waranggai might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Johnson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Waranggai swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Johnson controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Waranggai escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Johnson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Johnson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Johnson is pushing down on Waranggai's leg trying to pass to half guard. Waranggai is fighting to maintain full guard but Johnson has managed to sneak the leg through.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Johnson is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Johnson takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Johnson is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Waranggai has managed to free his arm - good work.
Waranggai is in trouble now - Johnson has advanced to mount!
Johnson takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Johnson has control of Waranggai's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Waranggai regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Johnson wants to take Waranggai's back here but Waranggai is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.

Johnson can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Waranggai is looking to escape.

Johnson has control of Waranggai's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Waranggai regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Johnson goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Waranggai is on top in guard.

Johnson is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Waranggai has his hands clasped together but Johnson extends and breaks Waranggai's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Johnson.
