Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jurgen Klaasen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Derozan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Jurgen Klaasen has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jurgen Klaasen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, James Derozan! The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Daniel Blasius and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Klaasen scores with a crisp jab that stopped Derozan in his tracks. Derozan throws a sloppy head kick and Klaasen moves out of range easily. Derozan misses with a head kick.
It looked like Klaasen was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Derozan. Klaasen wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Klaasen swings for the body but Derozan moves out of range.
Derozan is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Derozan feints and as Klaasen raises his hands in defense, Derozan changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Derozan with a flurry of punches that miss. Derozan seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Derozan wants to control from the top but Klaasen keeps moving. Klaasen knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Derozan on the ground. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Klaasen has control of Derozan's left arm, preventing Derozan from doing any damage. Derozan drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Derozan jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Derozan pushing down on Klaasen's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Derozan with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Klaasen wants to get back to his feet. Klaasen is not content to let Derozan control the position. Derozan is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Derozan decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. Derozan goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Derozan shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Klaasen but Klaasen pushes him off and we're back to square one. Derozan tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Klaasen manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Derozan shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Klaasen counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Derozan fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Jurgen Klaasen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of James Derozan. Derozan with a poor takedown and Klaasen counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Derozan looks winded! Klaasen swings for the body but Derozan moves out of range.
Derozan closes the distance but Klaasen moves to the side and Klaasen counters with a nice uppercut. A big right from Klaasen misses. Derozan shoots and misses and Klaasen makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. A lazy left from Klaasen finds it's target. Sloppy strikes from Klaasen. Derozan is rocked! Klaasen connects with a crisp jab. Derozan is still on wobbly legs! Can Klaasen finish him? Derozan doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Derozan seems to have recovered his senses. Klaasen sizes up Derozan with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Klaasen paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Klaasen takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Derozan walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Klaasen lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Derozan at a distance.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Derozan throws a combination that misses and Klaasen counters with a nice uppercut. Derozan takes a body punch but keeps moving. Klaasen's jab looks to have found its range, popping Derozan under the eye. Derozan gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Klaasen stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Klaasen lands a jab to the nose. Derozan closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Derozan takes a shot to the body in his stride.

Klaasen lands with a nice body punch. Klaasen lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Klaasen throws a looping overhand right but Derozan ducks down to avoid it. Derozan with a poor takedown and Klaasen counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. The judges will like that one. Klaasen lands a jab to Derozan's midsection. Derozan takes one on the button. Klaasen lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Derozan gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Derozan shoots in for a takedown but Klaasen shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Derozan defending well as Klaasen loads up on a big left hand.

Klaasen stalks Derozan and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Derozan's face. Derozan staggers backwards, shaken. Derozan takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Klaasen lands with a nice body punch. Klaasen lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. James Derozan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Good shot there by Klaasen. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Klaasen throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Derozan on the side of the head. Klaasen drops Derozan with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Derozan! Klaasen dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
