Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Underson Unilva! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Chop Top! The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Radbod Blank and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Unilva instigates a clinch. Unilva lands a nice knee to the body. Unilva gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
It looks like Chop Top has been cut. Unilva effectively controlling the action here. Top goes for a takedown in the clinch but Unilva prevents it.
Top wants to take the fight to the mat but Unilva manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Top is trying to pull guard but Unilva has him pressed against the cage. Underson Unilva has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chop Top. Top tries to score a body lock takedown but Unilva shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Unilva gets underhooks to prevent Top's takedown attempt.
Unilva lands a nice elbow. Unilva creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Top's defenses. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Top looking for a takedown. Top has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Unilva uses from the top position. Unilva wants to get up but he can't break Top's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Top working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Unilva doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Unilva manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Unilva knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Top on the ground.
That's one minute gone in the round. Top is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Unilva is posturing up here but Top has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Unilva tries to roll out but it's too tight and Unilva has to tap! Slick submission there by Top!
