The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Matthews looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Matthews misses with an uppercut
and Swagger connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
It looks like Clay Matthews has been cut.
Swagger plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Swagger takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Matthews has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Matthews closes the distance and lands a one-two.
It looks like Peerless Swagger has been cut.
Swagger walks straight into a right hand from Matthews - that's dropped him! Matthews jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Swagger from any more punishment! Swagger complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
