Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Cornelius Carr! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Justin James Tyconner Jr! The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Dean Styles and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Carr throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Tyconner Jr on the side of the head. A shot to the liver by Tyconner Jr. Beautiful body shot. A looping hook to the body misses from Carr. Tyconner Jr does a little dance to reset his feet. Tyconner Jr throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Carr misses with a wild combination.
Tyconner Jr is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. Carr takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Carr moves away from the strike by Tyconner Jr. It looked like Carr was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Tyconner Jr. Tyconner Jr takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Carr misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Tyconner Jr.
Tyconner Jr throws a counter combo. Tyconner Jr misses with a right hand and Carr cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Carr tries to move into range but Tyconner Jr moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Tyconner Jr looks to land a right hand but Carr moved out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tyconner Jr looks to land a right hand but Carr moved out of range. A shot to the body from Tyconner Jr misses and Carr counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Tyconner Jr swings for the body but Carr moves out of range.
Carr lands with a shot to the body. Tyconner Jr throws a jab but it's blocked by Carr. Tyconner Jr thumps Carr with a low kick. A left and a right from Carr both land. Nice combination. Tyconner Jr throws a predictable looking body shot
and Carr counters with a straight right hand.
Tyconner Jr is rocked! Carr lands a nice looking body shot.
Tyconner Jr is still on wobbly legs! Can Carr finish him? Carr is looking to wear down Tyconner Jr with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Carr stuns Tyconner Jr with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Tyconner Jr looks winded! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Carr lands a brutal uppercut that launches Tyconner Jr off his feet! Tyconner Jr tumbles to the floor, barely conscious - the referee jumps in to save him from a beating! Wow, what an ending!
