Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jason Voorheez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrei Zharkov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Voorheez kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Switchez. Jason Voorheez had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Andrei Zharkov!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Reed Andrews and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zharkov wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Zharkov shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Voorheez as he avoids it easily.
Zharkov keeps the fight on the outside.
Zharkov shoots in but no luck this time.
Voorheez drops down looking for a counter takedown but Zharkov sprawls and moves away.
Voorheez avoids the body shot from Zharkov.
Voorheez is looking to clinch but Zharkov is avoiding it.
Zharkov bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Voorheez's head.
Nice takedown defense from Voorheez. No joy for Zharkov on that attempt.
Jason Voorheez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Andrei Zharkov.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Zharkov scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Zharkov keeps the fight on the outside.
Voorheez doesn't manage to clinch there - Zharkov circles away.
Zharkov shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Voorheez pinned against the cage. Voorheez gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Voorheez tries to close the distance and clinch up but Zharkov swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Zharkov scores with a jab to the head.
Zharkov lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Zharkov.
Zharkov swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Voorheez.
Zharkov cracks Voorheez with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Voorheez is rocked!
Zharkov drops Voorheez with a huge uppercut! Voorheez drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Zharkov is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Andrei Zharkov!
In defeat, Jason Voorheez stepped up to the mic, saying 'Damn... Thats all i can say'.
