Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andy Foster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sugar Cane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Andy Foster!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Sugar Cane!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, John Mangel and Bruno Hogan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Foster darts in and clinches Cane up against the cage.
Cane is trying to drag Foster to the mat but Foster just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Foster manages to pull guard.
Foster trying to control the position.
Cane slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Cane won't allow Foster to sweep him here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Foster can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Cane controls the pace.

Foster working for a triangle but Cane defends it easily.
Cane trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Cane looking to sit in guard and control but Foster gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Foster postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Foster showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Foster wants to pass the guard but Cane is keeping the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Foster postures up and lands a big shot to Cane's brow.

Foster gets to his feet - Cane follows without any prompting.

Cane feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Foster has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Cane can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Foster utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Cane pushes down on Foster's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Foster moves into full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Foster's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.



Foster feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Cane wants to get back to full guard but Foster has passed into side control.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cane wants to improve his position but Foster is controlling well.
Foster throwing shots but Cane is blocking nicely.

Cane preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.

Cane has one foot on Foster's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Cane throws a right hand that Foster ducks under and follows up with a left that Foster also avoids with ease.
Cane closes the distance but Foster moves to the side

and Foster counters with a single leg into guard. Cane didn't expect that.

Cane keeping full guard, as Foster tries to pass.

Cane wants to hit a switch here but Foster passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Cane there!
Foster trying to control but he's not successful this time.

Cane tries to improve his position but Foster has taken his back! Foster has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Cane tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Foster pushes Cane away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Andy Foster!
