Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Patrick Burns (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chang Ryu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ryu comes into a darkened arena with his song building. WORLD ORDER in New York kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Patrick Burns! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chang Ryu! The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Columbo Gatti and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Burns avoids a punch combination nicely.
Burns shoots and misses and Ryu counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Burns staying out of range there. Ryu throws out a token jab with nothing on it. A slow jab from Burns misses its intended target. Burns changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ryu tries to avoid it but Burns manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ryu to the ground. Ryu escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Burns feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Ryu is looking to stand up but Burns isn't so interested in that idea. Burns scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Burns scoring with punches to the head and body. Burns looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Burns works a leg free and moves into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Burns thows a huge punch but Ryu dodges it nicely.
Burns is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Ryu can do anything to dispel that myth. Burns scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Burns is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Burns is really struggling to control Ryu but he's trying to hold on to the position. Burns is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Ryu defends it well.

Burns drops an elbow to the side of Ryu's head. Burns thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Burns sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Ryu defending well though. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Burns working Ryu over with strikes. Ryu is looking to escape.

Burns working over Ryu with some ground and pound. Ryu looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Burns landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Ryu on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Ryu taking some punishment here, with Burns in his half guard. Ryu pushes Burns off looking to stand but Burns dives back in and keeps control.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Burns lands a nice short elbow. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Chang Ryu is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Burns fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Ryu has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Burns throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Ryu throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Burns. Ryu uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Burns. Burns throws a lazy right hand but Ryu sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Ryu just misses with a punch to the body.
Ryu tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Burns was well out of range. Poor timing from Ryu. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A swing and a miss from Burns. Burns misses with a looping left. Burns shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Ryu pinned against the cage. Ryu gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Burns swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Ryu lands with a right hand. Ryu scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Burns is rocked! Burns misses with a lunging right hand
and Ryu counters with a crisp right that sends Burns to the canvas! Ryu follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:27 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Chang Ryu! During a confident post fight interview, Chang Ryu thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
