Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Petr Vondrachek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Clay Mercer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 37 - 20 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Petr Vondrachek!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 14 - 0, fighting out of London, Clay Mercer!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Donald Grub and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Vondrachek closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Vondrachek prevents Mercer from improving his position.
Mercer is not content to let Vondrachek control the position.

Mercer is staying active underneath Vondrachek, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Vondrachek is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Mercer is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

We've been hearing that Vondrachek has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

Mercer is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Vondrachek's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Vondrachek's back!

What's going on here? Mercer has decided to give up on the ground game despite having his opponent's back!

Vondrachek closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Vondrachek lands in his opponent's guard.
Mercer is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Mercer is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Vondrachek fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Mercer looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

That was a close round but I would say that Petr Vondrachek will probably get the nod.

Mercer looks to land a left hand but Vondrachek moved out of range nicely.
Mercer tries to close the distance and clinch but Vondrachek swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Mercer fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Vondrachek on the side of the head.

Mercer lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Vondrachek circles away quickly and effectively.

Vondrachek fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Mercer manages to avoid it.

Vondrachek throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Mercer tries to counter with a clinch but Vondrachek shakes him off and moves away.
Mercer takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Clay Mercer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Vondrachek looks to throw the jab but Mercer is out of range.
Mercer swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Vondrachek counters with a monster hook and another for good measure! Mercer falls to the ground, out cold! Stick some heavy metal music over the top of that clip and it's one for the highlight makers!

After winning the bout, Petr Vondrachek thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
