Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Yuri Sichev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dane Kane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Yuri Sichev could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Dane Kane's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
30 - 24 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Yuri Sichev! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 11 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Dane Kane! The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Igor Prikhodko and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sichev swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Sichev misses with a head kick.
Sichev moves into the clinch. Kane jumps guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sichev lands a couple of decent looking shots. Sichev postures up.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kane can do anything to dispel that myth. Sichev loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sichev throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Kane works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Sichev is looking to work some ground and pound but Kane has wrist control. Sichev preventing the sweep. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sichev is looking to work some ground and pound but Kane has wrist control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kane looking for a guillotine here but Sichev defends easily.
Kane is trying to control the position but Sichev postures up. Sichev thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Sichev keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Kane's head. Kane utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Kane trying to keep a closed guard but Sichev is proving a slippery customer.
Kane avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Kane keeping moving, preventing Sichev from controlling successfully. Kane is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Sichev closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Kane really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sichev. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Kane is defending against the submission attempts here by Sichev.
Sichev is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Kane doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Sichev. Kane avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Sichev. Sichev is keen to just control but Kane is a slippery customer.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sichev prevents Kane from improving his position. Sichev working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Sichev is looking for a kimura but Kane is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Sichev to get the leverage. Sichev takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Sichev throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Sichev looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Sichev thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Sichev has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Kane is trying to get back to full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sichev takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
It looks like Dane Kane has been cut. Kane wants to get back to full guard but Sichev has mounted him! Sichev dominating with strikes here.
Kane is rocked! Kane tries to hold on but Sichev pushes him away. Kane is still in real trouble! Can Sichev finish him? Sichev is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Kane is surviving well by controlling Sichev's body position as best he can. Sichev has hold of Kane's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Kane manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Sichev postures up and lands a whopping elbow - oh that's hurt Kane bigstyle! Two more strikes land for Sichev and the fight is over!
