The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Santiago Holmes and Michael Johnstone.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kowalski blocks the body kick.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Dam pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Kowalski attempts a counter takedown but Dam avoids it well and moves away.
Kowalski blocks a head kick by Dam.
Dam swats away the attempt to clinch by Kowalski.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dam tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Kowalski changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Kowalski blocks a head kick by Dam.
Nathaniel Dam seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Dam throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Dam blocks a head kick by Kowalski.
Dam is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Kowalski will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Nathaniel Dam is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Kowalski will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Nice takedown defense from Dam. No joy for Kowalski on that attempt.

Dam gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
