PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Typo Tap (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lee Kim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Typo Tap has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Typo Tap seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Typo Tap!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Lee Kim!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Paul Tew and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tap fails to land the takedown.
Tap will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
The fight stays on the outside here - Tap looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Kim keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
A telegraphed right hand from Tap misses the target.
Tap throws a low kick but Kim moves out of range easily.
Tap fails with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Typo Tap. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kim throws a combination. Tap tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Tap.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Tap showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Kim.
Kim fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Tap is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Kim has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Tap moves into the clinch successfully.

Kim's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Kim darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Kim thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Kim stops Tap from getting back to his feet.
Kim scoring with strikes to the body and head.
Tap knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kim on the ground.
Kim is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kim trying to control the action but Tap is working from the bottom.
Kim is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Kim raining down shots from the mount!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kim working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
Tap tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Tap is squirming around, avoiding Kim's attempts to control the action.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Kim cracks Tap with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Tap is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Kim locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Tap is forced to tap!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Lee Kim!
