Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Alvaro Boyd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kolya Chesalkin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kolya Chesalkin has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Alvaro Boyd's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Alvaro Boyd! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kolya Chesalkin! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chesalkin shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Boyd is trying to defend but Chesalkin finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Boyd regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Chesalkin. Chesalkin tries to free his leg and advance position but Boyd is retaining full guard. Chesalkin working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Chesalkin is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Boyd is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Boyd has escaped and now he's on top! Chesalkin working a defensive guard here.
That's one minute gone in the round. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Chesalkin throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Boyd trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Chesalkin escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Boyd gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Chesalkin working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Boyd doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Boyd manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Boyd throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Chesalkin wants to control the position but Boyd says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. Boyd working over Chesalkin with some ground and pound. Chesalkin looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Boyd throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Ground and pound from Boyd. Chesalkin wants to control but Boyd is keeping busy and won't allow it. Chesalkin avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Boyd. Boyd is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Chesalkin defends it well. Boyd is working for a kimura but Chesalkin is defending it quite comfortably.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Boyd wants to work for an arm triangle but Chesalkin is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Chesalkin looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Boyd! Chesalkin looks winded!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Who's going to make the next move? Boyd is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Chesalkin off and has taken his back! Chesalkin is trapped and Boyd is scoring with shots to the head and body. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Chesalkin manages to reverse the position and now he's in Boyd's guard. Nice work there by Chesalkin.
Boyd wants to sweep here but Chesalkin controlling him for the moment. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Alvaro Boyd will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Boyd gets caught napping as Chesalkin dives in and scores a takedown. Boyd manages to retain guard. Chesalkin is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Boyd controlling Chesalkin's posture. Boyd will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Boyd keeping moving, preventing Chesalkin from controlling successfully. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Chesalkin sitting in guard here, content to control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Chesalkin trying to control the position from guard on top but Boyd is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Boyd is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Chesalkin is controlling him. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Boyd is on top in guard.
Chesalkin lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Chesalkin throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Chesalkin stops Boyd from standing up. Boyd keeping moving, preventing Chesalkin from controlling successfully. Chesalkin is breathing heavily. Chesalkin won't allow Boyd to sweep him here.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Chesalkin shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Chesalkin showed some decent athleticism there. Boyd keeping control of the position. Chesalkin prevents Boyd from improving his position. Chesalkin stalling.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Boyd is not content to let Chesalkin control the position. Boyd tries to roll over but Chesalkin keeps him under control. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Chesalkin thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Boyd's head.

Kolya Chesalkin showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Boyd's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Chesalkin gets a takedown into half guard. Chesalkin trying to control the action but Boyd is working from the bottom. Chesalkin is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Boyd sees it coming and defends easily. Chesalkin stalling away here and it's allowed Boyd to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Boyd is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
That's one minute gone in the round. Boyd is just content to waste time from the top position. Chesalkin takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Chesalkin is trying to hold Boyd in close to prevent damage but Boyd has managed to pass into half guard.
Chesalkin takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Chesalkin is looking to improve his position.
Boyd drops an elbow to the side of Chesalkin's head. Chesalkin trying to control but Boyd postures up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Boyd is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Chesalkin is trying to get back to full guard. Boyd throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Chesalkin to regain full guard. Boyd stopping the sweep attempt from Chesalkin. Chesalkin is trying to keep Boyd in close.
Boyd loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Boyd tries to stand but Chesalkin is controlling from the bottom. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Boyd's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Boyd stands up over Chesalkin, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Boyd slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Chesalkin changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Boyd looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Boyd is pushing Chesalkin's head away, looking to escape. Chesalkin manages to hold on to the position though. Chesalkin is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Boyd is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Boyd is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Chesalkin asserts his dominance and retains side control. Boyd sneaks back into half guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Boyd is holding on to half guard well.
And that's the end of the fight! Kolya Chesalkin comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Chesalkin has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
