Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Talon Axel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eduardo Massa Alcantara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Axel comes into the arena with Gangster's Paradise by Coolio blaring out of the sound system. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Daniel Franklin and David Hoff.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Massa Alcantara. Axel does a little dance to reset his feet.
Massa Alcantara misses with a hook. Axel ducked under it nicely.
Axel misses with a looping left.
Massa Alcantara throws a body shot but no joy.
Axel throws a head kick that misses.

Massa Alcantara's coach down at Fitness elite 24/7 was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Massa Alcantara's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Massa Alcantara wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Axel has him pressed against the cage.
Axel tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Massa Alcantara's elbow.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Axel makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Massa Alcantara really felt that one!

Axel throws a leg kick which misses Massa Alcantara's front leg but catches the back leg as Massa Alcantara tries to avoid it.
Massa Alcantara lunges at Axel with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Axel's hand.

Massa Alcantara's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Axel connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Massa Alcantara scrambles back to his feet.

A big right from Axel misses.
Massa Alcantara throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
As Massa Alcantara backs away, Axel returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Axel thumps Massa Alcantara with a low kick.
Axel tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Axel lands a nice leg kick that just misses Massa Alcantara's sensitive parts.
Axel gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Axel is rocked!
Massa Alcantara scores with a body shot.
Oh Axel is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Massa Alcantara goes for a small jab and connects. Now Massa Alcantara goes in closer pressing the issue. Left hook, right straight! Axel stumbles back but Massa Alcantara runs in with a huge uppercut knocking Axel to the ground! What a finish! You have to wonder if Axel will ever be the same after a knockout like that.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Eduardo Massa Alcantara!
Eduardo Massa Alcantara decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
Talon Axel was interviewed post fight and said '3rd straight loss for me now. Id probably get cut after this. I got only myself to blame. Thanks HG for the opportunity. I guess World Combat Championship would be my new home now '.
