The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Contador connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Knight's hands.
Contador throws a head kick that misses.
Contador uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Knight.
A punch lands to the side of Contador 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Knight slips a jab and a cross from Contador.
Contador misses with a wild body shot.
Knight fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Contador has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Knight lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Contador scores with a jab. Knight acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Knight scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Contador throws a body shot but no joy.
Contador misses with a body shot.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Knight throws a leg kick but Contador moved away.

Knight is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
It looks like Grant Knight has been cut.

Contador swings for the body but Knight moves out of range.

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Contador checks a leg kick.
Contador is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight.
Contador throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Contador takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Contador stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Contador misses with the body kick
and Contador takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Oh Contador is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
That's two minutes gone in the round.
An inside leg kick from Contador misses.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Knight fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Contador.
Contador is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Knight throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Contador lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Contador seems to have got his legs back now.
Contador lets his hands go wild with a nice combination. Left! Right! Uppercut! Spinning backfist! Knight goes down and covers up as Contador starts wailing on him! The ref watches the action closely before stepping in and putting a stop to the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Alberto Contador!
Alberto Contador made sure to give a little speech post fight, saying 'Good fight, neither of us can take a punch, so that was fun.'.
