Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Bobby Bishop (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Donnie Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bishop comes to the cage accompanied by Mama said knock you out. Donnie Jackson acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bobby Bishop! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
26 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Donnie Jackson! The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Sosuke Kotani and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jackson misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Jackson throws a combination. Bishop tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Jackson misses with a takedown attempt - Bishop sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Bishop takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Jab from Jackson. Jackson has a takedown stuffed. Bishop avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Bishop attempts a counter takedown but Jackson avoids it well and moves away. Bishop swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Nice cross by Bishop. Jackson scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Jackson blocks the body kick.
Bishop misses with the body kick and Jackson counters with a shoot takedown. Bishop fights it but they end up in guard. Jackson has gone for a leg lock! Bishop slips out almost immediately though and dives into Jackson's guard. Bishop wants to control from the top but Jackson keeps moving.

Bishop sitting in guard here, content to control. Bishop has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Jackson is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Jackson can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Bishop controls the pace. Jackson working a defensive guard here.
Bishop has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Bishop trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Jackson wants to sweep but no luck. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Bishop looking to sit in guard and control but Jackson gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Bishop content to stall in guard here. Bishop's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bishop wants to pass the guard but Jackson is keeping the position. Bishop has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage. Bishop wants to control from the top but Jackson keeps moving.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Bishop slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Bishop got a little sloppy there for a moment and Jackson has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Bishop has managed to get both his arms back between Jackson's legs - danger averted. Jackson is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Bishop controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Nice uppercut lands for Jackson. That snapped Bishop's head back.

Jackson uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Bishop. Bishop leaves Jackson with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Jackson shoots for a takedown but Bishop saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Jackson shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Bishop's guard. Jackson looking to sit in guard and control but Bishop gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Jackson is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Bishop defends well. Jackson being controlled here, momentarily.

Jackson is controlling Bishop's posture. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bishop stands and throws Jackson's legs to the side, diving into side control. You can see the frustration on Jackson's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Bishop controlling the position from side mount. This is a sustained period of stalling by Bishop.

Jackson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Donnie Jackson seems to be getting the better of the standup. Bishop tries to land a front kick but Jackson steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Good standup being displayed there by Bishop as he connects with a hook. Jackson tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Bishop manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Bishop misses with a wild body shot. Despite the aggression on Jackson's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Jackson misses with a head kick.

Bobby Bishop dominated that second round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Jackson is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Bishop to keep the fight standing. Bobby Bishop has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Donnie Jackson. Bishop struggles to land a body shot inside as Jackson controls his hands.

Jackson jumps guard but Bishop turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jackson tries to pull guard but Bishop holds him up against the cage and eventually Jackson drops back down to his feet.

That's one minute gone in the round. Jackson is trying to pull guard but Bishop has him pressed against the cage. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Bishop throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Jackson is looking for a takedown. Bishop swings wildly with an uppercut but Jackson uses good head movement to avoid it. Jackson has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Bishop uses from the top position. Bishop trying to control the position from guard on top but Jackson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Jackson throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Jackson is trying to improve his position. Bishop moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Jackson sneaks back into half guard. Bishop is trying to control. Jackson wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Bishop is stalling here. Jackson is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Bishop seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Jackson has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Bishop's face as Jackson controls the position. Bishop dodges the ground and pound from Jackson. Bishop might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Jackson has knee on belly and moves into mount. Jackson tries to control but Bishop wriggling away. Jackson is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Jackson looking to finish with strikes here!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jackson lands a nice shot to the head. Jackson looking to control and managing it successfully. Jackson looking to control but Bishop is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Jackson lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Bishop is squirming around, avoiding Jackson's attempts to control the action. Bishop tries to lock up and control but Jackson gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
And that's the end of the fight! Donnie Jackson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Jackson has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
