Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Harrison Hardy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ken Miller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ken Miller!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Miller fails in his attempt to clinch.
Miller ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Hardy moves away.

Miller lunges at Hardy with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Hardy's hand.

Miller gets caught flat footed, as Hardy shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Hardy is looking to regain half guard here but Miller keeps moving and retains side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hardy is trying to control Miller's posture but Miller avoids it.
Miller postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Hardy is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Hardy is looking for a sweep. Miller is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Hardy escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Miller gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Hardy is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Miller's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Miller's back!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Hardy is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Miller knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Miller for a finish.

Hardy takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Hardy takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Hardy shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Miller pinned against the cage. Miller gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Ken Miller seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Miller regains half guard there - taking advantage of Hardy's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.

Hardy is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Miller still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Miller has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!

Hardy gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Hardy wants to improve his position but Miller is controlling well.
Well, if Miller is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Hardy isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Miller stacks Hardy on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Miller!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Hardy looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Miller has picked Hardy up and slammed him! Hardy can't keep hold of the triangle and Miller manages to pass to side control!

That was a close round but Harrison Hardy did the better work so I'd imagine he'll take it.

Miller cracks Hardy with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Miller comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Miller dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
It's got to the stage where if one of these guys blows hard enough, the other might fall over.
Hardy is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Miller bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Hardy shoots for a takedown but Miller saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Ken Miller is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Hardy changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Miller tries to avoid it but Hardy manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Miller to the ground. Miller escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Hardy takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Hardy avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Hardy fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Miller wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Hardy looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.
Miller's corner calls for a 1-2. Miller obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Miller won't allow Hardy to pass to mount.
Miller is trying to maintain the position but Hardy is very close to passing his half guard.
Miller manages to get to full guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Hardy looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Miller is fending him off so far but Hardy persists. Nope, Miller circles away and we're back to standing.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Both of our modern day gladiators look out of it here - an gruelling 5 rounds of action taking it's toll on them, no doubt.

Hardy is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Miller has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Miller!
