Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ethan Harris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matsui Takamatsu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Harris comes to the cage accompanied by In Exile - Thrice. Takamatsu comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Dogs of War kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ethan Harris!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Matsui Takamatsu!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and .




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Harris fails with an attempt to clinch.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Takamatsu! But no joy.
Harris tries to grapple but his opponent circles
letting Takamatsu counter with a right hand.
Harris tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Takamatsu manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Harris really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Takamatsu wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Harris slips under a jab from Takamatsu.
Harris tries to close the distance and clinch but Takamatsu swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Harris looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Takamatsu will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Harris closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Takamatsu has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Harris is landing a low percentage of strikes.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Takamatsu scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Harris doesn't seem bothered though.

Takamatsu punishes Harris's body with a nice straight punch.

Harris gets in close and instigates a clinch.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Harris just misses with a elbow thrown towards Takamatsu's brow.
Harris misses with an elbow strike.

Takamatsu jumps into guard, dragging Harris to the mat.
Harris wants to get up but he can't break Takamatsu's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Takamatsu wants to sweep but no luck.

Harris is looking to stand up but Takamatsu won't let him.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Harris moves in looking to clinch but Takamatsu pushes him off.

Harris tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Takamatsu paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Takamatsu swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Takamatsu sitting in guard here, content to control.
Harris wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Takamatsu manages to pass to side control.

Takamatsu working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Takamatsu is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Harris is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Matsui Takamatsu!
A relieved looking Matsui Takamatsu thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
