Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gregorio Leonard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex Frater (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alex Frater has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Gregorio Leonard's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Gregorio Leonard! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Alex Frater! The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Richard Clark and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Frater shoots and misses and Leonard cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Leonard shoots for a double leg takedown but Frater sprawls well. He's pushed Leonard's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Frater is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Frater displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Leonard. Leonard shoots in and gets a takedown into Frater's guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Leonard postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Frater is wriggling around but Leonard manages to pass to half guard.
Leonard prevents Frater from improving his position. Leonard not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Frater keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Leonard takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Frater blocking the ground and pound attempt from Leonard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Frater is trying to stand up here but Leonard is controlling him well. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Leonard slips a nice elbow through Frater's hands, connecting with Frater's forehead. Leonard winds up and cracks Frater with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Frater tries to roll over but Leonard keeps him under control. Leonard not landing any meaningful shots this time. Leonard sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Frater defending well though. Leonard lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Leonard landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Frater tries to get to full guard but Leonard has control of the leg. Leonard lands with a punch from half guard. Frater looks winded! Leonard looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Frater with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Leonard throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Leonard decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Leonard looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Frater! Leonard in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Frater on the wrong end of some ground and pound. The ground and pound from Leonard seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Leonard is working Frater over with some ground and pound from side control. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Leonard in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Leonard scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Frater to see if he's OK. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Gregorio Leonard dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Leonard dives in for a single leg takedown but Frater sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Leonard closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Frater to the mat! Frater manages to get full guard. Leonard stands up and waves to Frater to follow him. Leonard darts in looking for a takedown but Frater gets double underhooks and turns Leonard into the cage. Leonard fails to land the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gregorio Leonard. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's one minute gone in the round. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Frater displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Leonard. Despite the aggression on Frater's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Leonard shoots for a takedown but Frater saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Frater!
It looks like Gregorio Leonard has been cut. Leonard is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Frater can do to turn this around? No luck with that takedown attempt from Leonard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Frater drives through with a takedown into Leonard's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Frater wants to stand but Leonard has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Leonard managing to control the position. Frater trying to stand up but can't free himself from Leonard's guard. Frater must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Leonard pushes Frater off and gets back to his feet.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Leonard is defended easily by Frater. Frater is looking for the big counter here. Leonard keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Leonard lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick. Frater is breathing heavily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Leonard dives in and scores a takedown into Frater's guard. Leonard keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Frater's head. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Leonard accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Hammerfist, elbow! yells Leonard's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Leonard scoring with punches to the head and body. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Gregorio Leonard will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Gregorio Leonard's cut. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!

Frater is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Leonard lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Leonard scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Frater takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Frater wants to stand up but Leonard is controlling him.

Leonard is in close to Frater's body, working some short punches and elbows. Leonard keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Frater's head. Leonard has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Leonard content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Frater is wriggling around but Leonard manages to pass to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Leonard working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Leonard is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Frater actively working from the bottom here. Leonard is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Leonard is trying to work for a kimura but Frater is defending well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Frater blocking the ground and pound attempt from Leonard. Ground and pound from Leonard. Leonard wants to work for an arm triangle but Frater is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Leonard really is a fat lump. Frater tries to kick Leonard off in order to stand up. Leonard Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control. Frater is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Leonard cracks Frater with a big right hand but Frater just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Frater takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Frater on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Leonard wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Frater, who protects the arm well. Leonard scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Frater to see if he's OK. Alex Frater has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Gregorio Leonard is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Gregorio Leonard overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Leonard working the ground and pound.
And that's the end of the fight! Gregorio Leonard showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Leonard, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
