Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tyler Durden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Prince Malik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Durden comes into the arena with Jimi Hendrix - All Along The Watchtower blaring out of the sound system. Tyler Durden has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Malik avoids the head kick by Durden.
Malik shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Malik scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Malik throws a strike there. Durden manages to avoid it well and slips a leg under to get to half guard.

Malik is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Durden is trying to escape the mount.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Malik wants to control the pace but Durden is squirming around nicely.

Malik throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Durden because Malik loaded up on that one.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Durden regains half guard.
Durden tries to get to full guard but Malik has control of the leg.

Malik is tying to control. Durden wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Malik wants to free his trapped foot but Durden is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Malik is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Durden gets back to full guard.
Durden is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Prince Malik dominated that round.
That's time! Durden's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Durden feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
