Though comes into the arena with Hall Of Fame - The Script feat. will.i.am blaring out of the sound system. William Lawson has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with David Though's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lawson misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Though.
Though tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Lawson manages to circle out of the way.

and Though counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Though slows the pace down in half guard.
Though thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Lawson's head.

Lawson felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Though decides to stand and escape the position.

Though not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Though wants to control from the top but Lawson keeps moving.

Though is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Though might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Though working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Lawson's head.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
