Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ground Guru (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Coleman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ground Guru!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jake Coleman!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Robert Twigg and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Guru shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
It seemed like Coleman was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Coleman stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Coleman wants it to stay on the feet.
Guru sets himself, and Coleman steps forward looking for the clinch! Guru avoids it this time.
Guru changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Coleman tries to avoid it but Guru manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Coleman to the ground. Coleman escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ground Guru. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Guru looks for a takedown but Coleman sprawls well.
Coleman tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Ground Guru seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Guru shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Coleman but Coleman pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Guru tries to hold on but Coleman pushes him away.
Coleman is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Guru can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Coleman is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Guru can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Coleman is working for a guillotine from mount but Guru frees his head quite easily.

Coleman winds up and cracks Guru with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Coleman makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Coleman is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Coleman is taking a breather. Guru says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Jake Coleman showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Guru.
Guru dives in and grabs Coleman's left leg, looking for a takedown. Coleman pushes down on Guru's head and hops out.

Coleman ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Coleman no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Coleman connects with a nice short shot to Guru's temple.

Well Coleman has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
