Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Lamont Murphy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ewan McTavish (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Lamont Murphy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Ewan McTavish!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Paul Tew and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McTavish closes the distance and clinches.

Murphy escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Murphy throws a right and a left that both miss.
Murphy misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from McTavish.
Murphy scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
McTavish rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Murphy counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Murphy closes the distance and clinches.
McTavish is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
McTavish is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Murphy is keeping busy.
McTavish is trying to slow the pace down but that's a couple of times in a row that he's tried to get underhooks and Murphy has denied him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Murphy manages to break the clinch.
McTavish swings for the body but Murphy moves out of range.

Murphy throws a right and a left that McTavish avoids nicely.
A nice combination there by Murphy.
Lamont Murphy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

McTavish gets tackled into the cage by Murphy. Murphy maintains the clinch.
McTavish throws a punch but it's blocked by Murphy.
Murphy scores with a shot to the side of McTavish's head.
McTavish misses with a short punch on the inside.
McTavish tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Murphy unloads a knee to the mid-section.
Murphy really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Sloppy strikes from Murphy. Those never looked like landing.
McTavish misses with an uppercut
and Murphy counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Crunch! Murphy slams his shin into McTavish's torso.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Murphy dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
McTavish misses with a looping right.
Murphy scores with a hook to the body. McTavish takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Murphy clinches.
Murphy blocking some punches.
Murphy stalls.

Murphy breaks from the clinch.

McTavish looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Murphy!
McTavish wants to control but Murphy is keeping him busy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

McTavish tries to advance to mount but Murphy denies him.
Murphy tries to strike but it doesn't land.
Murphy is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Murphy is trying to control McTavish's posture but McTavish avoids it.
McTavish in side control lands a decent elbow.
Murphy struggling a bit here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Murphy is trying to get back to half guard.
Murphy takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
McTavish controls the position.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
McTavish working away.
Murphy misses with an elbow from the bottom.
Murphy lands an elbow from the bottom.
Murphy wants to control but McTavish postures up.
Murphy wants to get back to his feet but McTavish drags him back down.
Murphy is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked McTavish off and has taken his back!
McTavish trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble.
McTavish is really stuck here.
McTavish looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
Murphy has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
McTavish rolls, trying to escape but Murphy keeps control of the position.
McTavish trying to control the hands but Murphy breaks the grip.
McTavish prevents Murphy from getting a body triangle.

McTavish is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Murphy gets his way!

Murphy lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but McTavish circles away quickly and effectively.
Murphy lands a nice looking body shot.

Murphy instigates a clinch.
McTavish misses with the head strike.

Murphy decides to pull guard.
McTavish is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
McTavish trying to control but Murphy is working from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
McTavish trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
McTavish looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Murphy has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. McTavish is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Murphy.

Murphy tries to bench press McTavish off him but McTavish keeps the position.

Murphy throws a couple of punches but he's in a bad position and they don't land.
McTavish blocks the strikes from Murphy.
Murphy gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Murphy tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
McTavish works his way into side control.
McTavish is chipping away with strikes.
Murphy trying to remain calm as McTavish controls from the top position.
McTavish creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.

McTavish wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Murphy, who protects the arm well.
Murphy is trying to improve his position.

McTavish works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Murphy can't do much from the bottom here.
McTavish cracks Murphy with a big elbow.
Murphy tries to improve position but can't.
McTavish connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Murphy some visible discomfort.


Murphy is rocked!
McTavish takes a little break here. Murphy wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Oh Murphy is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
McTavish lands a strong strike to the head of Murphy. That's dazed him! McTavish looking to finish here. Murphy is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - McTavish lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ewan McTavish!

That should show every fighter in the world today that Ewan McTavish is one of the best in the world.
