Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Brock Lasnur (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wes Nerk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brock Lasnur! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Wes Nerk! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Frank Dennis and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nerk shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Lasnur napping and manages to drive through into side control! Nerk remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Lasnur tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Nerk wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. You can see the frustration on Lasnur's face as Nerk controls the position. Lasnur wants to control but Nerk postures up. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nerk is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Nerk tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lasnur can't do much from the bottom here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lasnur tries to improve position but can't. Lasnur could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. You can see the frustration on Lasnur's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Nerk tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Lasnur paws at him with a jab and circles away. Lasnur feinted there with a counter leg kick. No luck with that takedown attempt from Lasnur. Lasnur stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Nerk. Nerk stuffs the takedown. Nerk closes the distance and clinches up with Lasnur, looking for a takedown. Nerk pushes Lasnur against the cage but Lasnur circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nerk shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Nerk showed some decent athleticism there. Lasnur trying to get back to full guard but Nerk takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount! Nerk breaks from Lasnur's wrist control and lands an elbow. Nerk landing strikes from the mount. Nerk landing strikes from the mount. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Lasnur is squirming around, avoiding Nerk's attempts to control the action. Lasnur is breathing heavily. Nerk raining down hammerfists from mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lasnur wants to control but Nerk is having none of it. Nerk controlling the position easily from mount. Lasnur is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Nerk trying to control but he's not successful this time. Lasnur tries to hold on but Nerk postures up. The referee warns Lasnur that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Nerk working for a submission but Lasnur is keeping him at bay. Nerk tries to control but Lasnur wriggling away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Wes Nerk dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Nerk closes this distance looking for a takedown but Lasnur circles away. Lasnur appears to be looking for a big counter. Nerk swats away the attempt to clinch by Lasnur. Lasnur swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Lasnur takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Lasnur tries for a takedown but Nerk sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Nice sprawl there from Nerk as Lasnur shoots in. Lasnur shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Nerk but Nerk pushes him off and we're back to square one. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brock Lasnur. That's going to take a lot out of him. Lasnur with a poor takedown and Nerk counters with a series of strikes. Lasnur will be more careful next time no doubt. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Lasnur. Nerk closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Check out the look on Nerk's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Nerk working the head and body with strikes. Lasnur is not content to let Nerk control the position. Nerk is putting a hurting on Lasnur here, landing some big shots from side control. Nerk has knee on belly and moves into mount. Nerk tries to control but Lasnur wriggling away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nerk takes Lasnur's back. Wes Nerk has got the better of the ground game so far. Lasnur is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
Nerk working for a choke but Lasnur is defending well. Nerk has good solid back control here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nerk has Lasnur flattened out and is raining down punches. Lasnur trying to control the action but Nerk just sinks the hooks in. Nerk biding his time, controlling Lasnur.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Lasnur is trying to stand back up. Nerk is working hard for the rear naked choke here.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Nerk controlling from the back. Lasnur is really stuck here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Wes Nerk showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Lasnur's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Nerk shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Nerk thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Lasnur's head. Nerk looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Lasnur regains full guard. Nicely done. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nerk trying to control the position from guard on top but Lasnur is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Lasnur bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Nerk's guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lasnur wants to pass the guard but Nerk is keeping the position. Nerk trying to control the position.
Lasnur with a flurry of punches that miss. Lasnur wants to control from the top but Nerk keeps moving. Nerk striking off his back but it's not causing Lasnur any problems. Lasnur throws a big right hand that misses. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Nerk controls Lasnur momentarily but Lasnur frees himself.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Lasnur tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Nerk manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Lasnur shoots in but Nerk avoids the takedown attempt easily. Nerk fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Lasnur to the ground. Nerk is now in Lasnur's guard. Nerk won't allow Lasnur to sweep him here. Nerk has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Lasnur not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Lasnur is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Nerk is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lasnur is looking to stand up but Nerk isn't so interested in that idea. Lasnur wants to sweep here but Nerk controlling him for the moment. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Nerk sitting in guard, not really doing much.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Nerk clinches up against the cage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Lasnur wants to stall.
Nerk is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Lasnur gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Lasnur is looking for a takedown. Nerk is looking to take this one to the mat. Lasnur's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Lasnur tries to clinch but Nerk is having none of it. Nerk dives in and grabs Lasnur's left leg, looking for a takedown. Lasnur pushes down on Nerk's head and hops out. Brock Lasnur has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Wes Nerk. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! No luck for Lasnur with that takedown attempt. Brock Lasnur has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Wes Nerk is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Lasnur tries to land a front kick but Nerk steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
And that's the end of the fight! Wes Nerk comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Nerk has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
