Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mark Jack (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rick Duphus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mark Jack! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rick Duphus! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Frank Dennis and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Duphus swats away the attempt to clinch by Jack. Jack misses with a looping right. Duphus will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Jack dives in and grabs Duphus's left leg, looking for a takedown. Duphus pushes down on Jack's head and hops out. Duphus throws a head kick that misses. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Duphus. Duphus checks a low kick from Jack. Jack closes the distance and clinches up with Duphus, looking for a takedown. Jack pushes Duphus against the cage but Duphus circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Jack moves in looking to clinch but Duphus pushes him off. Duphus thinks about the counter body kick. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jack lands a high kick!
Jack tries to close the distance and clinch up but Duphus swats him away and circles back towards the center. Duphus is looking for the big counter here. Duphus shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Jack eats them both and turns towards Duphus to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. The fight moves into the clinch position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jack's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Jack has a takedown stuffed. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mark Jack. That's going to take a lot out of him. Duphus shoots in looking for a takedown but Jack manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Duphus's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Jack throws a big counter combination but Duphus scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Jack lands a nice leg kick that just misses Duphus's sensitive parts. Duphus tries to clinch but Jack is having none of it. Jack fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Duphus. Jack shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Duphus as he jumps to the side. Duphus throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Jack fails with a takedown attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jack goes for a double leg but Duphus avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Duphus continues to drive forward. Jack is breathing heavily. Duphus fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Duphus throws a nice outside leg kick. Jack tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Duphus manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Duphus fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Jack, pushing him back against the cage. Duphus has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Jack uses from the top position. Duphus working a defensive guard here.
Duphus pulls Jack in close to prevent any damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Duphus escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Jack gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Jack postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Jack's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Duphus controls Jack momentarily but Jack frees himself. Jack would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Jack postures up.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Jack looks to land a combination but Duphus avoids it well. Duphus shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Jack sprawls well. Jack wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Duphus gets slowly back to his feet. Jack has a takedown stuffed. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Jack misses with a double jab
and Duphus counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Jack tries to pull guard but Duphus holds him up against the cage and eventually Jack drops back down to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rick Duphus dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
A head kick misses from Duphus. Jack tries to clinch up. Jack is looking to clinch. Jack lands a glancing blow to the side of Duphus's head. Mark Jack is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Jack shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Duphus gets caught napping as Jack dives in and scores a takedown. Duphus manages to retain guard. Jack stops Duphus from standing up. Duphus wants to sweep but no luck. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Duphus keeping moving, preventing Jack from controlling successfully. Duphus is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Jack is aware though and is defending well. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jack would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Jack passes Duphus's left leg - he's now in half guard. Duphus trying to control from the bottom.
Jack is looking to stand up but he'll have to free his leg first. Instead, Duphus manages to get to full guard. Jack trying to control but Duphus is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Duphus decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Duphus tries to stand but his arm is trapped. Jack is refusing to be controlled, as Duphus sits in half guard. Duphus is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Duphus wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jack keeps working. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jack is trying to get back to full guard. Duphus is thwarting Jack's attempts to control the position. Duphus is looking to take a break and control but Jack is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Duphus shoots in for a takedown but Jack shows good takedown defense.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Jack manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Duphus on his heels. He'll look to pass Duphus's guard now, I'm sure. Jack lands a couple of decent looking shots. Jack trying to control but Duphus is working from the bottom. Jack tries to free his leg and advance position but Duphus is retaining full guard. Duphus is trying to keep Jack in close.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Jack not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mark Jack dominated that second round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Duphus wants to clinch. Duphus throws an off balance right hand
and Jack counters with a two punch combo. Jack closes the distance and clinches. Jack is trying to pull guard but Duphus has him pressed against the cage. Duphus jumps guard.
Duphus keeping moving, preventing Jack from controlling successfully. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jack is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Duphus is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Jack would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Duphus controls Jack momentarily but Jack frees himself. Duphus wants to stand but Jack is controlling the position. Duphus takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Jack has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Duphus is proving hard to escape from. Duphus wants to sweep here but Jack controlling him for the moment.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Duphus tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Jack manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Jack changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Duphus tries to avoid it but Jack manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Duphus to the ground. Duphus escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. As Jack backs off Duphus throws a huge counter combo but Jack manages to avoid it all. Jack shoots in but Duphus avoids the takedown attempt easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mark Jack. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jack shoots for a takedown but Duphus saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Excellent takedown into side control there by Duphus. Duphus trying to control the position but Jack is working away. Duphus tries to advance to mount but Jack denies him. Duphus landing a few strikes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jack can't do much from the bottom here. Duphus fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Jack wants to get back to his feet but Duphus drags him back down. Duphus wants to control but Jack is keeping him busy.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Duphus shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Jack manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Jack is on top in guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Duphus is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Jack passes Duphus's left leg - he's now in half guard. Jack throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Duphus is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
And that's the end of the fight! Rick Duphus comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Duphus has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
