Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Duke Hightower (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jared Tillion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Duke Hightower looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Duke Hightower!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, David Schapiro and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tillion moves in looking to clinch but Hightower pushes him off.
Hightower looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Tillion drives through with a takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tillion stands up and waves to Hightower to follow him.
Tillion is looking to clinch but Hightower is avoiding it.
Tillion tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Hightower paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Hightower wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Tillion.
Tillion throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Tillion clinches up against the cage.
Hightower landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Tillion manages to break the clinch.
Hightower wants to clinch up but Tillion keeps it at a distance.
Tillion closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

You can see the frustration on Hightower's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Tillion has knee on belly and moves into mount.
Tillion takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Tillion is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Hightower to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Hightower shrugs it off.
Tillion misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

Hightower wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Tillion.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Tillion jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Hightower manages to avoid the submission attempt.
A lull in the action here as Tillion stalls from top position.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Tillion tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Tillion has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Tillion closes the distance and clinches.
Tillion looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Hightower scores with a knee to the head.
It looks like Jared Tillion has been cut.
Tillion turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Tillion manages to end up in side control.
Tillion passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Hightower!
Hightower knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Tillion on the ground.
Tillion throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Let's hope that Tillion has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Hightower is in a horrible position here. Tillion smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Tillion shoots in looking for a takedown. Hightower tries to sprawl out of it but Tillion keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hightower manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Tillion dives in and scores a takedown into Hightower's guard.

Tillion wanted to stand there but Hightower had control of the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jared Tillion showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's time! Hightower's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Hightower is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

Tillion tries to close the distance and clinch but Hightower swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

As Tillion tries to get set, Hightower tries to push him back and clinch up but Tillion manages to avoid the attempt.
Duke Hightower has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jared Tillion.
Hightower leaves Tillion with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Horrible takedown attempt by Tillion or perhaps it was just good defense by Hightower, which made it look bad.
A nice leg kick lands there from Hightower.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Tillion is defended easily by Hightower.
Hightower misses with an uppercut. Tillion saw that one coming.
Tillion moves out of range of the body kick.

Duke Hightower has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Hightower takes a swing at Tillion's ribcage but misses.

Jared Tillion comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Tillion winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
