The judges for this bout are Chris Dean, Ben Hemmingworth and Francis DeMontford.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good standup being displayed there by Wumba as he connects with a hook.
Wumba clinches up against the cage.
Wumba lands a body shot in the clinch.
Payne breaks from the clinch.
Wumba tests Payne's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Wumba tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Payne paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Payne fails with the takedown
enabling Wumba to counter with a crisp jab.
Wumba gets tackled into the cage by Payne. Payne maintains the clinch.
Payne wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Wumba escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Payne gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Wumba counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Wumba gets in close and instigates a clinch.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Payne tries to pull guard but Wumba won't allow it.
Chumba Wumba has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Matt Payne.

Wumba has Payne pressed against the cage.
Wumba breaks the clinch.
Payne with a lazy takedown attempt
and Wumba counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Nice jab there from Wumba.
Payne instigates a clinch.
Wumba lands an uppercut.
Wumba leaning his opponent against the cage.
Wumba makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Wumba breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Wumba cracks Payne with a good jab.
Wumba moves into the clinch.
Payne can't break the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Wumba manages to break the clinch.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Wumba lands with a nice body punch.
Payne's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Wumba connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Payne scrambles back to his feet.
Wumba lets his hands go wild with a nice combination. Left! Right! Uppercut! Spinning backfist! Payne goes down and covers up as Wumba starts wailing on him! The ref watches the action closely before stepping in and putting a stop to the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Chumba Wumba!
