Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Sammie Cobb! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Deadly Strike! The judges for this bout are Topper Green, Damien Edna and Bruno Hogan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Strike tries for a takedown but Cobb circles away easily and Cobb counters with a two punch combo. No luck for Strike with that takedown attempt. Strike tries to clinch up. Strike swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Cobb swats away the attempt to clinch by Strike. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nice sprawl there from Cobb as Strike shoots in. Sammie Cobb has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Deadly Strike. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Strike. As Strike tries to get set, Cobb tries to push him back and clinch up but Strike manages to avoid the attempt. Strike fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Cobb could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Strike is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Cobb is defending well. Cobb goes for a takedown in the clinch but Strike prevents it.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Strike pulls guard. Strike controls Cobb momentarily but Cobb frees himself. Strike is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Cobb is controlling him. Strike utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Cobb working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Strike's head. Cobb has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Strike working a defensive guard but Cobb manages to pass into side control anyway.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Strike wants to get back to his feet. Strike is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Cobb is one step ahead and moves to full mount! Cobb throws some wild stikes that Strike manages to avoid easily.
Cobb looking to ground and pound but Strike is blocking nicely. Cobb prevents Strike from getting the reversal. Strike tries to hold on but Cobb pushes him away. Strike can't escape the position.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Cobb cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Strike is flailing around like a fish out of water, trying to land strikes. Strike avoids a series of strikes thrown by Cobb.

Strike changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Strike tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Cobb swivels and escapes. Cobb tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Strike manages to circle out of the way. Cobb tries to clinch but Strike moves out of range. Strike moves into the clinch. Strike tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Cobb just stands there and leans against the cage. Cobb is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Strike pulls him back up using the underhooks. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cobb wants a takedown but no success here.

That's one minute gone in the round. Strike wants to hit a switch here but Cobb passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Strike there! Strike holds on for dear life. Strike is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Strike tries to lock up and control but Cobb gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Strike wants to hold on but Cobb pushes him away. Cobb throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Strike because Cobb loaded up on that one. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Cobb trying to control but he's not successful this time. Strike working to try and regain half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Strike tries to hold on but Cobb pushes him away. Cobb is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Strike can do to turn this around? Cobb thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Strike gets back to half guard. Cobb sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Strike defending well though. Strike tries to get to full guard but Cobb has control of the leg. Sammie Cobb overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Strike blocking the ground and pound attempt from Cobb.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Cobb defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Strike. Cobb wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch. Strike closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Strike prevents a takedown attempt there.
Cobb tries to pull guard but Strike forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Strike is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Cobb gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Cobb is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Strike pulls him back up using the underhooks. A frustrated look appears on Strike's face as he tries to break the clinch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Sammie Cobb will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Cobb appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Cobb throws a series of punches but Strike moves out of range. Deadly Strike is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Cobb connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Strike looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Strike uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Cobb.

Cobb leaves Strike with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Strike darts in and clinches Cobb up against the cage. Strike prevents Cobb from breaking the clinch. Cobb wants to take the fight to the mat but Strike manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Cobb tries to pull guard but Strike holds him up against the cage and eventually Cobb drops back down to his feet.

Cobb has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Strike is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Strike effectively controlling the action here. Strike keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Cobb's efforts to push away. Cobb is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Strike gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Strike jumps guard and drags Cobb to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Cobb trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Cobb might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cobb throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Strike works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Cobb throwing strikes from guard but Strike blocks nicely. Strike trying to control the position here. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Deadly Strike. I think Cobb has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
